be introducing some eHome products on this platform in the near future.
-

Release of Version 5.05 today. Lots of little bug fixes and added the
new skin set to the install kit. Also created a update program so you
can install right over the top of your old installation and all you
personal settings are kept.
-
June 25th 2007
- Completed a new skin set... Sort of a silver and black metallic
look. And... Dave at Powerhome is getting ready to release his new
version of HA software so we will revisit the Powerhome integration
soon and make that happen. We have also been working on some high
end AVOD addition that are not not quite for the home crowd but will
work nice for multiple eHome installation for small boats and
planes. (2 - 12 eHome computers)
-
June 12th 2007
- Took a nice power surge that fried our server. Replaced the power
supply and the raid is re-building as I type this. Just glad all
other computers survived and you got to love raid arrays...
- June 8th 2007 - Did some
work on the website. Also finished a new update utility so going
from a old version of eHome to a new version will keep all your
previous settings. We have received a $400 donation to eHome this
week. Just want to say thanks.
-
May 28th 2007 - Release of the
new eHome touch game Gems. Sort of a nice and simple Bejeweled type

no keyboard needed or wanted!

-
May 6th 2007 - Powerhome
integration is getting there, waiting for Dave (Powerhome author) to
get in some code on his side but its looking good. While waiting I
have finished the recipes catalogue and have started on the kitchen
timers. I will put out an interim release this weekend.

Mar 25th 2007 - Final release
of the Audio ripper posted, should have the final few bugs fixed
now. New release this weekend. Hope to have the start of the
Powerhome Home
Automation support in this next release.

posted in the download section. On to home automation!
-
Mar 15th 2007 - We have
finished the DVD ripper and even got in ISO support so you can rip
your DVD directly to ISO is one step. I will be kit testing on the
16th and 17th and will release the DVD ripper this weekend as
planned. Also the 220v X10 equipment has arrived so Powerhome is
next on the list to do and have a added 2 new pictures of the
rippers.

back online. We are now finishing up the DVD ripper and should
release that by the weekend with the home automation code to follow.
-
Mar 12th 2007 - We have pulled
the installs offline as we have had a mix up in the install kits
from V5.00 to V5.01 and the new audio ripper module. Its not a code
problem is a install kit problem. We will have them back online in
24 hours after some testing to figure out what got mixed up.
-
Mar 9th 2007 - Audio ripper is
done and looks good. Nice and simple. We will be kit testing on
Saturday and should release on Sunday.
-
Mar 5th 2007 - New release this
weekend planned that will include the Audio ripper module. Drop a CD
in and rips and files directly into the eHome system. Should have my

integration. Lots of good updates planned.
-
Mar 1st 2007 - New beta posted.
If this one is stable and should be we will will call it a RC1...
Also created an
Install web page. This should help with setting eHome for the
first time. I will follow up with a documentation on the
Administrator and how that all works.
-
Feb 23rd 2007 - Just one more
compile... Famous last words of all programmers. Trying to get as
much last minutes bug fixes and enhancements in before this Beta 2
release. I hope to get it done in the next 24 hours.
-
Feb 18th 2007 - New
pictures posted. I
finished work on the new video player, now plays DVD's from your
hard drive or from an ISO image. Also added Office Tools - A
calculator and contact list with a calendar coming next. One way or
the other a release is going out the 21st-22nd. I really got to stop
adding things... LOL
-
Feb 6th 2007 - Well, final Beta
will be off for final testing this weekend. Already looking ahead at
integrating Powerhome for the home automation side of things. I
figure its inexpensive and very powerful and needs a nice touch
screen front end. Lots of work has been done on the Administrative
side. Once a Touch Screen is setup in can be reconfigured from any
other machine on the network. Now that's cool!
-
Jan 20th 2007 - Its been
awhile. Although... all I have ignored is the web site, not the
eHome Digital Tools product. Alpha version is now in late Beta so I
figured it was time to update the web site. many new features and so
much easier to setup now.
-
Sept 16th 2006 - Moved into a
new place and back on working on eHome Digital tools. I am now
working on the 'Admin' side of things. Trying to make it easier to
setup. Still trying for a late Nov. V5 - Beta 1 release.
-
Aug 18th 2006 - Some
pictures of the new
alpha version. A few features in this soon to be released version.
Separations of the UI from the players. (this allows any front end.
IE: Pocket PC, Win32, Linux) On the Win 32 client -- Complete
skinning with icon sets separated from the backgrounds. Integrated
VBS scripting on custom events. 3rd party programs directly
integrated with ease.
-
Aug 12th 2006 - Still here!!!
Basically we are in a redesign of the eHome system. Lots of little
and large holes where found in the usability tests. Remember, this
software is targeted for all users, not just techies. Anyway... Lots
of new ideas and the biggest change is the separation of the UI from
the players. Look for a new release around late September supporting
Audio, Video, Photos, Games, X10, weather and surveillance cameras.
- June 3rd 2006
- Touch screen TV! Uses the old Hauppauge Win TV Go cards only.
